This morning, I got an adjustment on my prescription for life glasses. It’s not the first time, and it won’t be the last. It was important, that much is true.
I know the theme of this blog is about things that don’t really matter. The things I blog about are my interests, but today, I wanted to share what’s really important. So here goes.
Love. Life. People. Giving. Finding joy. God. Peace. Faith. Hope. Learning. Caring for our children and elderly. Justice. Health. Family. You.
Here are things I enjoy and want, but are not particularly important in the grand scheme of things.
Homeownership. Being employed. Keeping up appearances. Watching TV and playing games. Shelter. Money. Warm beds. Having no pain. Being fashionable. Becoming famous and rich. Power.
I would love to have it all. But it’s much easier to focus on the first list, and see if you’re lucky enough to have the second list along the ride.
This post may have been just for me, but it’s what’s important. Don’t give up anything on that first list for something on the second. You’re worth the important things in life.
