GAH! I can barely believe how fast all this has gone. It is pure insanity! Not literally. But still!
The Little Kramer has been growing rapidly!
And, of course, the doctor consistently tells us she’s right on track and everything looks great! It’s just a matter of waiting until she’s fully baked now, because she’s pretty much done growing all the super important stuff.
So, here’s what’s been happening on the baby front lately.
We were incredibly lucky to be able to afford some nursery furniture! (Thanks to some generous gifts from family, we are beyond grateful!) Tomorrow we have a baby shower, hosted by our new church group. Seriously, we’ve only known these people for a few weeks and they are just showering us with love and generosity. They have been so wonderful to us, we really feel like God answered our prayers to find the right church.
Last week, Michelle came to visit! She’s one of those friends that you just pick up right where you left off, no matter how long it has been since you last spoke. I think everyone should have someone like that! Unfortunately for me, she didn’t stay terribly long, but I feel like we were able to do lots of stuff while she was here! And one of those things was take some maternity pictures!
I’m totally in love with them.
Michelle is more talented than she gives herself credit for 🙂 Most of these are the raw photography, no editing, so I’d say that you have to agree with me.
So yeah, I mean, besides having quality time with one of my best friends, snapping some pictures, and growing like mad, there isn’t a whole lot that’s changed. The day is just getting closer and closer. And I am definitely nesting and feeling that whole third trimester “get out of me!” thing.
You think you’re done when the morning sickness goes away… HA! At least I could get out of bed without help!
But she squirms and kicks and wiggles (all. the. time.) and I remember that all this is for her. And it’s totally worth every second of aches and pains and shortness of breath. It’s worth all the stretch marks (dubbed tiger stripes by yours truly), and the constant trips to the bathroom and all of that vomiting early on. It’ll be worth the massively intense labor and delivery and the months of recovery.
Because, at the end of it all, the world will have a new piece of joy. Evangeline Valerie Kramer.
OH! Didn’t I mention? We picked a middle name. It means “Brave.”
